Safety Precaution Measures and Warnings

Important Safety Instruction In order to avoid fire, electrical shock and person injury, all operators must routinely adhere to the following basic safety precautious measures

  1. Read and understand all instructions.
  2. Operate the machine according to the warning labels on the machine.
  3. Please unplug the attaching plugs before cleaning the machine. Do not use liquid or spray cleaner. Please clean it with wet cloth.
  4. Put the machine in a clean, ventilated and flat room.
  5. Make sure the machine keep away from water, such as: bathtub, basin, kitchen washing tank etc.
  6. Place the machine in a stable condition, otherwise, if it falls down, it will cause serious damage/personal injury.
  7. The gaps and hatches on the machine are for ventilation to avoid the machine overheating. Therefore, do not block or cover them. Do not keep the machine near to the radiator or the place which have no appropriate ventilation devices.
  8. Only the powers marked on the machine is applicable. If you do not know your power type at home, please contact the dealer or local power supply bureau for help
  9. To keep safe, the machine has ground electrode plug. Please install one if you have none. Do not use other encoders’ plugs to avoid damage of them.
  10. Do not put anything over the power line. Put the machine in a place where the power line will not be stepped or make people stumble.
  11. Do not keep the plugs or sub-line overloaded, or it may lead fire or electrical power shock.
  12. Do not put anything to the machine through the machine gap; otherwise it may cause fire or electrical shock. Do not spray any liquid to the machine.
  13. In order to reduce electrical shock hazard, please do not disassemble the machine. When it needs overhaul, please send the machine to the authorized repair center or contact the manufacturer. Open or pick off the covers may make you touch the dangerous voltage or other dangers. Incorrect reinstallation may lead electrical shock in the future use.
  14. Please pull out the plugs and contact the appointed repair center for help when the following cases happen.
    • When the power line or plugs damaged or wear.
    • Liquid sprinkle to the machine
    • The machine suffers from rain or water
    • It can not work normally when you operate according to the instructions. You can only adjust control part of the machine. Incorrect adjustment will lead more repairs in the authorized repair center.
    • The machine falls down or machine body damaged.
    • Obvious change occurs in machine performance.
    • The switch button is not sensitive or can not work.
    • The machine can not work normally or obvious change occurs in machine performance.
  15. 1.When there is thunder storm, please don’t use telephone (cordless telephone exceptional). Otherwise, it may lead long-distance electrical shock.
  16. Do not plug or unplug the data line connected to the computer when the power is on. Please restart the machine 10 second after power off.
  17. When there is gas leakage near the machine. Please do not use the machine to report the gas leakage situation.
  18. When use the machine, please note:
    • Please do not press the bonnet with hand or heavy goods.
    • Turn on/off the machine with the general supply button.
    • Please do not print when there is no media on the table.
  19. Please be sure to using indicated power type by our printer.
  20. Printer has ground connector, if you haven’t matched plug-in, please have it. And please don’t use any other improper plug-in in case of abolishing its safety function.
  21. Please don’t put anything on the power wires.
  22. Please don’t overload the plug-in and branching in case of firing.
  23. Please don’t put anything into the printer and don’t splil any liquid on the printer
  24. Please don’t unload the printer privately, and when needing examine and repairing, please connect the appointed maintenance center or manufacturer.
  25. Please use Kincolor ink special for the machine. If you change another ink, all the lost will be borne by yourself.

  17. Equipment operation switches Definition:
    • Emergency Switch: Self-locking switch. If happened that cases in need of emergency stop, push the switch to cut off servo driver signal, and printing head stop working. In this way, it can protect the printing head and other part not be hurt.
    • Heating Switch: Ship-type switch, Push “1” to on the switch, Push “0” to off the switch.
    • Adsorption Switch: Self-locking switch, switch on, and adsorption fan is working, and switch off, and adsorption fan stop.
    • Automatic Ink Pressure Switch: Auto-reset switch, push the button, the ink pressure circuit opening and ink flow out. Then, button will reset automatically after releasing the button.
    • ower button: Push the button (lighting), the system power on, then connect 5v/ 24v power and servo driver power. Shut off the equipment order: firstly turn off printing head power, secondly turn off each button, thirdly cut off general power, at last shut off the computer and computer power.

  29. Clean the printing head automatically with cleaning solution one by one, and keep the cleaning solution in the printing head at least 10 minutes in order to clean the protection solution. At last please purge the cleaning solution in the printing head.
  30. Connect the ink supply system for supply ink automatically.
  31. Ink flows from the printing head by means of the positive pressure or negative pressure, and wipe the rest ink on the surface of spray hole.
  32. Print the test strip to observe situation of each printing head.

  34. Operation sequence itemize
  35. Please confirm all control switches or button in the off position, and observe machine running channel without any barrier and resistance.
  36. Printing head installation
  37. First fix the printing head firmly, then connected the ink tube and ink entrance tube of printing head (Out of ink tube must be sealed after ink outflow), at last connect the data wire between the printing head and adapter plate.
    Please clean the printing head automatically one by one using the cleaning solution, then to keep the cleaning solution at least 10 minutes in order to clean the protection solution within the printing head. At last purge the cleaning solution in the printing head, Connect the printing head data wire one by one, and check next one when the printing head flow the ink as normal, until all the printing head work normally.

    • Please check if the grating has been installed. Please be sure to every shading piece close to grating when installing the printer grating. And two sides of grating should be fastened
    • Check grating reading port, keep 1-2mm distance from top edge of grating.
    • Check grating: to confirm if grating stay the center of grating head to avoid friction.

  41. Supply ink to the second ink cartridge Confirm each ink tube connect correctly and fasten.
    Turn on the printer power.
    Abutting joint respectively the joints represented every ink color on the float line and corresponding ink cartridge level sensor wire.
    Connect respectively float signal wire, the ink level sensor will send the signal in time when it up to certain standard. And then ink pump will stop its work and supply ink to each ink cartridge one by one.
    Supply ink to the printing head.
    We suggest that you use pressure ink system to supply ink instead of vacuum cleaner to hurt the printing head.
    Firstly connect the ink outlet of printing head and entry tube of ink, push the positive button, and ink will flow into the printing head from ink tube and flow out from the printing head. The ink inside of Printing head saturation.

  1. Lava UV Printer Management Software
  2. Install the Printer Manager Software according to the following steps:
    • First install Dotnetfx
    • Run Lava Printer Manager installation program
    • Install according to the screen reminding
    • In Windows XP and Windows Vista, press “anyhow, still continue” when you see the following reminding. The software asks the system has already installed the Dotnetfx 1.1 or higher version. The program will automatically be installed.

  6. Hardware Setting Function provides the flexibility to the system operation. You can set up different printing head type, color numbers and printing head groups by software, and do not need to use different hardware or control software.

    • Choose the colors you use: 6 colors or 4 colors

      The color space and group space will automatically change according to the color and group you select. You can also set up them based on the situation.
      All set up finished, click ok and the settings will store in the main board

  12. Lava UV Flatbed Printer Maintenance and Precautions
    • Operating environment: 18-22℃, Room humidity:40%-70%
      Please be sure to operate machine within the scope of environment and humidity or will affect printing fluency.
    • To clean the lead rail and then oil it before starting the machine, and Oil the machine every 8 hours. The oil should be sewing machine oil or lubricating oil with low-viscosity.
    • Check the flatbed whether there is foreign matter and check height of printing head before printing, and keep 3mm distance between printing head surface and media.
    • To press ink switch no more than 3 seconds every time, but you can press it repeatedly to prevent pressure empty ink or damage solenoid valve.
    • Wipe the printing head gently by non-woven fabrics from the inside to the outside of the nozzle. Please clean the printing head from the light to the dark in the sequence and wipe it in one direction not repeatedly. Please wipe the printing head by normal speed in order to prevent the printing head film.
    • For ink system, please change 5u filter in the cartridge every 3 to 6 months and change 5u filter in the ink box every 6-8months.
    • Clean the surface of printing head and then wrap it with preservative film when closing the machine.
    • to keep printing head plate clean, and also keep printing head adapter plate and grating clean, please check whether it will create friction or not between grating and grating decode.
    • Don’t Inserted into or pulled out all electronic parts on the machine when the machine connecting the power, otherwise it will cause damage to the print head or other parts.
    • When the machine has been temporarily suspended, please be sure to keep the print head humid by its flash jet function, or it will be very easily lead to print head clogging.
    • Drain the water from the oil-water separator before starting the machine.
    • Please comply with the above mentioned rules
      Note: Be sure to install 5u filter on the injector, then clean the printing head. When suck the cleaning liquid, please take off the filter firstly, then clean the printing head after install the 5u filter.

    The work environment will directly affect the performance of the ink, thus affecting the inkjet effects.
  16. Operation and maintenance requirement
  17. General maintenance
  18. Only the professionals or the person who was trained by our company can operate and maintain the machine. Please operate the machine in accordance with the manual operation and be sure to wear anti-static gloves when you touch the electronic circuits, printhead and other electronic devices.
    Don’t unplug or plug in any plugs, boards and components and parts when power is on.
    As much as possible to wear goggles to prevent ink splashed into the eyes when you contact with inks. If the ink splash into your eyes, please rinse them with a large number of clean water. If seriously, need to see the doctor.
    Don’t forget to wear the protective gloves when you touching the ink to avoid hands are eroded by ink.
    Clean the printing head before starting the machine to ensure the printing head smooth, and also clean it when finishing the print work. Dip the special cloth or paper into the cleaning agent, and then wipe gently the surface of printing head to remove the dirt. We suggest that perform this procedure at the beginning of each working day, if necessary, repeat this procedure between two print tasks to confirm printing head smooth and guarantee the image quality.
    The printing head is very important parts of textile printer, so the cleaning request as following:
    The operator should wear protective gloves, goggles, protective cotton overalls to avoid been hurt.
    To use special cloth or paper supplied by factory.
    To use special cleaning agent or the factory offered solution to clean the printing head and its surroundings.
    To draw into the cleaning fluid and residual ink on the surface of printing head by using vacuum cleaner back and forth evenly.
    In the process of drawing, please notice that don’t scrape the surface of printing head by hard objects.
    After cleaning, check the printing head. Repeat above procedure if the results are not satisfactory.
    The self-cleaning sucker is the important facility, so in order to ensure printing head smooth, should usually remove the residual ink on the surface and mouth of sucker by using brush dipped in solvent.
    Please wipe gently the printing head in one direction.
    Start or close the machine according to priority.
    Filter is a one-way equipment, so keep its direction same as the flow direction of ink.
    Change the ink pipe every year, and then replace it as soon as possible if find the pipe was broken.
    Close the system and drain off all the ink in the pipe.
    Clean the new ink pipe using the specific cleaning agent in order to remove the original impurity and then dry the remaining cleaning agent in the new pipe.

    The printing head maintenance degree and habit will directly affect the whole system operation. The purpose of printing head maintenance is to ensure that printing head can maintain its basic work state. Pleas clean the ink and remains on the nozzle board and empty the air in the pipe.
    To achieve the satisfaction of these condition depending on the printer work environment, the system work loading, ink model and print types.
  21. Printing head maintenance rules

    • The operation maintenance means that maintains the printer when it is running. The printer carry on its automated function at the pointed time when running, which can provide the reliable and continuous printing. According to the system status, maintains the machine by using mobile or similar maneuverable maintenance platform.
    • Short-term Maintenance
    • Short-term maintenance means that perform the maintenance work when the print in the short rest time. For example, perform maintenance before one printing work or after the print work. Suggest that it should be designed as an automated system functions in order to be able to operate reliably and repeatedly.
    • Long-term Maintenance
    • Long-term maintenance means that perform the maintenance work when the whole printing job is finished on every day or the whole system was off. Clean the printing head using suitable cleaning solution or cover the device by caps.
  22. Printing head maintenance manner
  23. Printing head maintenance manner: Kincolor flatbed printer should use Kincolor special ink(Please be sure to use Kincolor special ink to prevent worse printing results, even damage printing head and printing head adapter circuit )The ink has characteristics of dry and solidification. The feature will cause nozzle clogging and deflector, so it’s very important to keep the nozzle moisture. Please notice that use instrument cleaning solution function to clean the printing head in time everyday.
    • after started the machine, print the test strip of printing head, if nozzle clogging or deflector happened, should use the equipment cleaning solution function to clean the printing head in time.
    • when finished daily printing, use printing head moisture rack to wet printing head. The manner is that put preservative film (anti-corrosion) on the printing head moisture rack and dip the non-woven fabrics into cleaning solution and then put it on the preservative film and push the printing head to printing head moisture rack and fasten.
    • when you don’t use the printing head in short time (3-10days), you should clear the ink within the printing head. The manner is that clear the ink within the printing head by using equipment cleaning solution function, and then twist open the connector of ink pipe between at the top of printing head and sub-ink cartridge, so that cleaning solution can flow automatically from printing head. And then operate it according to the second notes above mentioned. (don’t use too much immerse the printing head into cleaning solution for long time)
    • If don’t use printing head for long time that would cause more deflector, you can use protective film to seal the surface of printing head, and then transfer the flash printing to 50 times automatically printing for 1 to 3 hours, in this way, it can make printing head work as normal.
    • Clean the printing head regularly. The ink will precipitate within the printing head when it worked for a period of time. (It does not mean printing head blockage). You shall clean it by using equipment cleaning fluid function. In this way, it can improve the printing quality.
    • when operating the equipment, you shall choose appropriate flash printing frequency. We suggest its frequency shall be 30-50. It also was up to the environment and wet in the operation room. The high temperature or low temperature environment can easily result in drying up the nozzle and affect printing quality.
    • you shall choose appropriate voltage for printing head. The higher voltage will crease electrode load of printing head. The printing head will automatically adjust the voltage according to environment and temperature in the operation room. The best operation temperature is 18---22℃.
  24. Please be sure to read through the rulers when using the printing head.
    • don’t plug or unplug the printing head or each parts of printer when power is on.
    • please be sure to use the Kincolor printer special ink and cleaning liquid.
    • it’s prohibited to clean the printing head by high-pressure air guns. It’s also prohibited to wash the printing head by large syringe. Because too much pressure will damages the printing head.
    • It’s prohibited to immerse the whole printing head into cleaning liquid. And you shall clean it in time if the outside of printing head or circuit spot the cleaning liquid. Because the cleaning liquid will damages the printing head electrode. The printing head electrode damages phenomenon: The printing head nozzle can spay the cleaning liquid when cleaning printing head, while the printing head nozzle can not spay ink when printing.
    • it’s prohibited to immerse the internal part of printing head into cleaning fluid for long term (not more than 48 hours immersion repeated). It’s allowed to immerse the internal part of printing head within 48 hours for once. Because long-term immersion the internal part of printing head will cause serious side-hole needle and affect print quality.
    • Please use the standard wiping paper or cotton swab to cleaning the printing head, because hard material will damage membrane on the surface of printing head. It will affect the print quality.
    • it’s prohibited to knock forcefully the printing head to prevent it was damaged.
    • please be sure to use special cleaning liquid to wash the printing head Please don’t wash the internal parts of printing head and equipment circuit by water or other cleaning liquid.

  26. Please remember to fasten regularly the movable parts of fixed screw.
    Please be sure to oil the Lead rail regularly in every 8 hours.
    Please remember to oil the bearing regularly in an one half year.
    Don’t forget to fasten the screw to fix the printing head in every month.

  28. How to deal with the printing head
  29. The user should deal with it and restore carefully as the Konica512 IJ is precision instrument. Before unpack the package of printing head, please be sure to read through the precautions as following:
    • Please attention there is a layer of surface of nozzle moisture membrane, even if touch it softly, it may cause the membrane fall off.
    • when touch the printing head should take measures to prevent more static damaging printing head.
    • We suggest that the users had better wear the instrument of anti-static on the wrist.
    • Please don’t drop the ink onto the circuit board interface of printing head.
    • When connecting printing head adapter, please correctly connect the printing head and adapter, or it can not transfer the data.
  30. Unpack the package of printing head.
    • Open the package, take out the printing head, and take down the trademark carefully, and restore the trademark.
    • take down the cap of anti-static and take off the plastic bag.
    • take down the cover. In order to prevent printing head dryness on the way, there is some liquid similar as ink in the ink pipe of printing head.
    • There is a cap on the printing head to protect the nozzle, and also prevent it’s dryness.
    • As the image showing, Take the middle of cap.
      Press the cap and make loosen of bolt that fixed the printing head.
      UV FlatBed Printer Head Note:there is two kind of liquids with different chemical character similar as ink. Different liquid use different caps, if there is ink in the printing head, please attention don’t make the ink drop onto the cap, avoid corrode the cap Black rubber cap is suitable to solvent ink Green rubber cap is suitable to oil-based ink.
    • take down the ink pipe.
    • Take down the ink pipe that connect ink interface. Ink pipe can prevent the liquid similar as ink to flow.
      If the printing head has already supplied the ink, before reconnect the ink pipe with ink entry pipe of printing head, you should guarantee the rudimental ink can not dip into the pipe to avoid corrode.
    • Inner flowing of ink
    • The image as showing, ink will flow in the inner of printing head.
      Ink entrance and Ink exit Ink entrance and Ink exit use circuit block R and L to supply ink and drain ink. The filter of ink bag divides it into two parts: pre-filter bag and post-filter bag.
      In addition to drain the air out of ink channel convenience for the first time, Ink exit also clear or cycle the ink of pre filter bag. Some unstable ink, such as white UV ink, should be periodically replaced to remove the ink coagulation.
